Denmark has appointed Paulus Wildeboer, father of sons who compete for different nations, as head coach following the departure of Mark
Regan.

Regan's contract ended in the wake of the Olympics in Beijing. He has returned home to Australia. Wildeboer starts October 1 and has a contract to London 2012. The 53-year-old coach is Dutch but has spent much of his career in Spain. He is married to Winnie Faber, who raced at the Montreal Olympic Games in 1976. Their two sons, Olaf and
Aschwin also raced at the Olympic Games, for Spain and the Netherlands.
